Welcome to Netball Newbies
No leagues, no commitment - just fun!
We are a friendly, social, back to netball group for ladies of all ages, fitness levels and abilities based in Coventry.
Our qualified umpire/coach run sessions each consist of a gentle warm up to get our bodies ready for exercise, some simple drills to get us used to the basics, followed by fun match play. Perfect for all, as you take the session at your own pace!!
Whether you are a regular player but looking to take things less seriously, haven't played since school or haven’t ever played before, Netball Newbies is for you! And you don't need to be super fit! You participate in what you feel comfortable doing! Build up your fitness with the fun of netball and without realising you are even exercising!

FAQs
Do I have to commit to annual fees?
No. We offer a pay as you go option where you pay for the sessions you wish to attend or keep an eye out as we often offer block booking discounts if you did want to commit to multiple weeks
How much will it cost?
The price is currently £6 per week if paying as you go, or pay less when booking a block of 5 for £25, making it just £5 per session!
Do I need to have played before?
Definitely not. We welcome all and our qualified coaches/umpires plus our amazing members are more than happy to help you pick things up.
I haven’t played since school, I’m not sure I even remember the rules!
No problem, most of our group are exactly the same. By joining us you will wonder why you stopped playing!
My daughter would like to also attend, can she come with me?
All are welcome to spectate (space may be limited when indoors), however you must be at least 14 to participate.
Can men join?
Currently our sessions are women only, however with the sport becoming more popular and inclusive for all, we would love to offer a mixed/men’s session if the interest is there, please get in touch to register your interest. Alternatively Henley Netball Club offer men’s training and playing opportunities.
Will we be playing in a league?
No. Our netball is purely a social session. Each week our teams will rotate on court playing games that are between 5-10 minutes.
We may have opportunities in the future where we can look at entering fun tournaments, but this will be optional.
I play for a club/league can I still attend
Yes! We welcome all! Experinced players often enjoy the more relaxed netball session we offer with no pressure of leagues and commitments!!

Where do you play
During the colder months we play indoors at Bishop Ullathorne School, then once the weather improves, we try and go outside, however this is dependant on the British weather!!
